Professor Wiater is a principal investigator at the Cluster of Excellence “Transforming Human Rights”. The Cluster seeks to revisit the potential of human rights as a universalistic framework for addressing fundamental changes that shape our times in political, economic, social, ecological and technological contexts.
CHREN Conference June 2024
From June 7 to 9, 2024, Professor Wiater, in collaboration with the Center for Human Rights Erlangen-Nuremberg (CHREN) and the “International Academy of the Nuremberg Principles” Foundation, hosted a conference.
Interactions of Islamistic Radicalisation
The interdisciplinary research project, Interactions of Islamic Radicalisation, supported by the German Ministry for Education and Science explores the political and social context of islamistic radicalisation. Patricia Wiater is presiding over the legal subproject on human rights effects and cascade effects in proceedings against islamistically motivated terrorism, in which Charlotte Jawurek is a Research Assistant.
